Raj Machhar, MD is a board-certified internal medicine physician, offering high-quality medical care at Greenbrook Medical for adults over 65 in and around Seffner, Florida.
Dr. Machhar has a special interest in the diagnosis and treatment of diabetes, arthritis, high blood pressure, heart disease, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). He works closely with his patients to manage chronic illness and prevent disease, rather than just treating it.
Dr. Machhar's expertise comes from his extensive training in some of the country's top programs. He earned his medical degree at the University of Florida College of Medicine (UF Medicine), graduating at the top of his class with Alpha Omega Honors.
He went on to complete his residency training at New York-Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center (NYP) in Manhattan. Dr. Machhar also completed additional training at several New York City hospitals, including Hospital for Special Surgery and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
In addition to serving his patients in Seffner, Dr. Machhar serves as a clinical assistant professor of medicine at New York University (NYU) Grossman School of Medicine in New York City, and makes appearances on NYU's Doctor Radio. He is also an active member of the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM).
